19th. English Song Festival

La Secretaría de Educación de Boyacá y la INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA TÉCNICA “JOSÉ CAYETANO VASQUEZ”de Ciénega invitan al 19th. Festival de la Canción Inglesa, que se realizará el próximo 26  de septiembre de 2018.

Dear Principal and English Teachers,
It is a pleasure for us to invite you, to the 19th English Song Festival which will be held on September 26th, 2018, 8:30 am, at Institución Educativa José Cayetano Vazquez head office. This festival has been celebrated for 18
years at this school and it has become an important and traditional festival for our town.

This year, the ENGLISH SONG FESTIVAL theme will be the Famous Songs in Movies, “Songs in movies spring up feelings we didn’t know we had”, Anonymous. We invite you to select songs from children movies for the Young
and Junior Categories and Songs from other movies for the Teenager and Senior Categories. Likewise, this year there is a new requirement; The day of the presentation the participants have to bring a video of the movie from which the song was taken. The video will be shown while the participant sings. Please in the registration format write the link of the video from where we can download the video in advance.

Please take into account the following remarks:

• Registration Fees:
  Soloists ($20.000) Groups (Max.4 People) ($30.000),
  Adult soloists ($25.000) (only for schoolteachers).
  Adult Groups (Max.2 People) (30.000) (Only for school teachers).
• Registration Payments will be received only the day of the event.
• Students wishing to participate in the Festival must register electronically by sending an email with the registration form, exclusively to: englishsongfestivalcienega@gmail.com. Please write only the school name and town in the registration e-mail subject.
• Registration Period: From August 10th to September 10th, 2018
• Contestants may only compete in only one modality (Soloist or Group).
• Each school can participate with only one contestant per category. No
  Exceptions.
• A teacher is required to accompany the students. (Only one per school)
• It is mandatory that you confirm your attendance before September 10th.
• All the participants must bring the music in an MP3 or Wav form.
• All the participants must bring a video from the movie where the song was
  taken, to show it while performing the song.
• All the participants are asked to be dressed like in the movie from which the
  song was taken.
• All participants are asked to prepare a very short introduction about
  personal information, explicitly name, age, school, favorite movie and the
  movie name from which the song was taken.
• Musical accompanists are allowed.
• Snacks and lunch will be provided to all participants.

Young Singers Category from 4 to 8 years old.

First Place: 200.000 pesos.
Second Place: 150.000 pesos.

Junior Singers Category from 9 to 12 years old.

GROUP
First Place: 200.000 pesos.
Second Place: 150.000 pesos.

Teenager Singers Category from 13 to 17 years old.

SOLOIST
First Place: 200.000 pesos.
Second Place: 150.000 pesos.

GROUP
First Place: 200.000 pesos.
Second Place: 150.000 pesos.
Senior Category (Teachers)

SOLOIST OR GROUP
First Place: 100.000 pesos.
