Cuerpo de Paz requiere Gerente de Proyectos de Desarrollo Económico Comunitario

Preferiblemente del Departamento de Boyacá para apoyar iniciativas en el Departamento.

Tunja, 7 de marzo de 2019. (UACP). La entidad Estadounidense que firmará próximamente el memorando de entendimiento para jalonar proyectos con la Gobernación de Boyacá y su Secretaría de Educación requiere para su desenvolvimiento en esta sección del país, un Gerente de Proyectos de Desarrollo Económico Comunitario.

Según el director Nacional de Peace Corps/Colombia, Sr. Matthew Carlson, esta organización internacional de servicio está ampliando su personal en el país. “Como estamos creciendo y duplicando de personal, en los próximos años, necesitamos talento y sería excelente que los candidatos sean de la región de Boyacá”, aseguró.

Cuerpo de paz tiene como misión ayudar a países con voluntarios capacitados. Estos voluntarios trabajan en un país extranjero por dos años y ayudan en las áreas de salud, educación, negocios y agricultura, entre otras.

COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER (CED PM)

Full time position based in Tunja, Boyacá; the Community Economic Development Project Manager (CED PM) has responsibility for planning, developing, negotiating, implementing, managing and evaluating our Agency project activities in the CED sector. The CED PM identifies and develops Volunteer job placements in the Central departments (Cundinamarca, Boyacá, etc), oversees technical training, provides supervision and guidance to programming staff, cultural adaptation and professional development for in-coming Volunteers and 45 – 50 Volunteers in-service. The CED PM is under the general supervision of the Director of Programming and Training and serves as the principal project sector advisor to the Country Director. Must travel up to 40% of the time.

Qualifications and requirements

University bachelor degree (Masters preferred) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or International Development.

 Experience: At least 6 years of progressively responsible professional – level experience. Colombian development experience in rural areas.

 Language: Must have professional working proficiency in Spanish and English. Level 4

 Knowledge: Must have knowledge of local and national plans, strategies, and policies related to rural community economic development.

 Internet literate and working knowledge of Microsoft office package.

 Valid driver’s license with clean record and at least 2 years of experience driving.

 Additional strongly desired experience: Training coordination and facilitation skills– knowledge of adult education techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of an intercultural team with demonstrated cross-cultural skills.
